Indoor Football League in Soccer Resource Directory

The Indoor Football League is a professional indoor football league created in 2008 out of the merger between the Intense Football League and United Indoor Football. In total, 19 teams from Fairbanks, Alaska to Maryland comprise the IFL with additional expansion to come. The announcement of the merger was made the day before the National Indoor Bowl Championship, that pitted the champions of the two leagues, the Louisiana Swashbucklers of the IFL and the Sioux Falls Storm of the UIF, against each other. The Storm defeated the Swashbucklers 54 to 42.
